Homeowners Insurance

Did you know that there are two types of coverage for the dwelling of your home?  Type 1: “Named Perils Only”.  Type 2:  “All Risk”.  The first type is called “Named Perils Only” coverage--otherwise known as BASIC coverage.  If you have this type of coverage on the dwelling of your home, buyer beware--you might not have the coverage that you expect.  Named Perils Only means that you only have coverage on your home if the cause of loss to your home is named specifically on your policy.  We recommend that you ALWAYS insure the dwelling of your home with “All-Risk” coverage which means that you have coverage for all causes of loss unless specifically excluded by the insurance company.  If you don’t know how your home’s dwelling is covered, call us today.
